VERONA

The way we know this doorstop maker today is that they marked their cast iron items on the back with the name "VERONA". Not only did Verona make doorstops, they also produced: Bookends and Ashtrays. All cast iron items (except for the 2 roosters) had a bronze finish. There was a Verona Steel Casting Company located in Verona, PA in 1913. Verona, PA is a suburb of Pittsburg, PA. Verona Steel Casting Company was formerly "General Casting Company" until 1910 -- see photo below: Verona Casting Company
They produced their first casting in 1905. However, there is no proof that this company specifically made doorstops.
